Azorean-born chef Manuel Azevedo offers beautifully prepared "Novo Cozinha Portuguesa." Fresh takes on traditional Portuguese dishes like cataplana, bacalhau, caldeirada, caldo verde, grilled sardines and pao de milho highlight the menu. The West Coast's largest selection of Portuguese wines, cheese and ports are also on offer. Many of the items are cooked in a wood-fired brick oven. Most of what is on offer is prepared with locally produced products. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated with traditional Portuguese-style "azulejo" tiles, traditonal and stylish furnishings which gives the restaurant the feeling remeniscent of a modern tasca. Staff are very warm, friendly, attentive and always ready to guide the customers through the ins-and-outs of Portuguese cuisine.
